"If most poetry is autobiographical, these poems reveal a highly intelligent, articulate, principled author, which is Tim to a tee. This is a life's work, spanning almost 45 years during which the pieces have been much admired by friends & family. "

T.M.R. Jackson's very fine poetry collection, Watching - Episodic Poetic Reflections
is a remarkable, reflective and truly inspiring anthology that spans forty four years of watching, noting and capturing and serving life in its many changes and development.
It is a beautiful collection of poems, and will inspire and offer hope for many decades beyond its present four.
Ann Egan. Poet.
"Watching is aptly named. This book of poems focuses sharply and sympathetically on life. Its scope is wide and its appeal should be as wide. Whether you are a friend, work colleague, relation, or general reader do get a copy. There are even some beautiful photographs!"
Dr Hilary Robinson, Lecturer in English (retired)
"Tim sees a lesson in everything and everybody around him, but he also does not hesitate to teach. We are not just observers, but active residents of a world in urgent need of redemption, whether spiritual or environmental. Our metaphorical train is gathering momentum as environmental disaster threatens and Yeats's "new age dawning" illuminates the old age's ending ("Journey"). Tim even extends his quest into the future, salting his 2022 census return with a poem that asks if Earth's future generations will have "tuned finally / into the subtle harmonies / of God's world?"
